COPENHAGEN IS SO CUTE

Hello again!

So I went to Copenhagen last week... it was my first time in Denmark, and it was just so cute :) I loved it. I always feel so so lucky because I end up with amazing crew every flight (hope I'm not jinxing myself here haha), but I think that says a lot about the company I work for :)

After a relatively easy and not so busy flight, we landed mid afternoon. Obviously there was no time for sleep! I hadn't slept much beforehand but I hate the thought of missing out on a layover just because I'm tired! I don't understand some crew who can sleep the whole way through. But there was a bunch of us who wanted to go out, get some dinner, see some sights, then catch the Portugal game in the evening. We all met downstairs in the lobby after getting a quick shower and coffee and headed out.

The hotel is really close to the city centre so it's very easy to get around. We were thinking of hiring bikes but a few people weren't too confident, and we were quite a large group so I think it would have been easier to lose people on bikes rather than if we just walked. It took us about 20 minutes to get into the main part of the city, and we found the cute little colourful houses that everyone takes pictures outside :) Being crew, as crew do, we had to have a mini photo shoot haha.

After walking a little further up past the houses, we found an ice cream shop with the biggest queue outside. So obviously we had to go in an test it out and see what all the fuss was about. It definitely didn't disappoint. Soooo creamy and delicious. Is it bad to have dessert before your dinner? OH WELL haha!

To burn off a few calories we decided to take a little stroll up to the castle. It didn't look much like a castle to me. More like an old boarding school type thing! But it was still cute :)

After that a few people left to go back to the hotel and sleep. We had managed to fit quite a lot in in just a few hours. But I decided to stay, along with a few others to watch the match. We found a nice Irish bar to watch it in, and the atmosphere was brilliant. A few too many drinks, pizza and hotdogs on the way home, we all went home for a well deserved sleep! :) I loved this layover, I think it'll be one of the ones I won't forget purely because I had such a fun crew! :)

I just got back from my very first flight to Newcastle (operating... I have flown home a few times as a passenger), and it was soooo lovely to see my little family even for a day! I didn't really do anything 'touristy' because it's my home. I just went shopping first with my friends, who came to pick me up :) I ended up spending A LOT. Ooops. And then in the evening when my parents and brother and sister had finished work, I went home and had a nice home cooked meal, and just caught up with my family :) It was lovely :) It did feel a little strange though because I was leaving the next morning. But I do feel very lucky that I can still go home on a layover :)

Anyway I'll stop blabbering! Hope you enjoyed this blogpost. My July roster came out a couple of days ago so I'll be sharing that with you all soon! (I remembered haha!)
