Hello there :)
I finally got a New York layover last month and I was so so excited to be going back! It had been like three years since I'd last been there, and it was when I'd studied abroad there. I was just so looking forward to going to Central Park again, and the shopping of course!
I actually managed to swap onto this flight and it was a Milan-JFK-Milan multi-sector which was cool. I didn't do much in Milan because the flight timings were quite tiring. And I saved my energy for New York.
When we arrived in the evening about 8 of us all went out to a rooftop bar on 5th Avenue. It had incredible views of Manhattan and the Empire State Building. I really felt in awe and so happy to be back :) We ate chicken nuggets and french fries... totally not classy considering where we were haha.

I realise I need to get a better camera because my iPhone 6 is so crap at night :(
After a well earned sleep, the next day I had arranged to meet one of the girls from my flight for a stroll around the city. Our hotel is so central we are just minutes from Times Square which is so handy.

Standard H O P E pic :) I couldn't find the L O V E sculpture haha

After a Starbucks and bagel, we headed to Central Park. It was a beautifully sunny day as you can see from these photos so we decided to rent out bikes. I guess it counts as a workout?

Mine was the lovely bright orange one haha

Very creased shorts from all that cycling haha

I didn't really get up to much in Milan... our plan was to go to Lake Como and try and spot George Clooney haha. But by the time we arrived in the afternoon (after a very long night flight) everyone was dead. I feel like the American layovers are amazing, but you definitely earn them due to the tiring flights. I needed a good long nap and some well deserved pizza after it haha.
