BANGKOK - SYDNEY - CHRISTCHURCH

Okay so I know this trip was like over a month ago now... I feel like I am just so into Instagram and Snapchat at the moment as it gives updates instantly I've kinda been so slow with my blog :/ But I promise to get better again haha.

This was one of my favourite trips of all time. I was so lucky to have amazing crew (I feel like I say this all the time but I just haven't come across a bad crew yet!). My seniors were amazing, they created such a positive and friendly environment to work in and that always makes everyone feel good and work better as a team.

Once we arrived in Bangkok we were all starving I remember haha (as usual...). The Purser said he knew of a really nice restaurant not too far from the hotel. I had to get a fresh young coconut obviously! It was so quenching I loved it. I also got a really nice prawn curry with rice. I love food in Thailand. All the ingredients taste so fresh and it's full of flavour.

After dinner a few of us decided to go out. We ended up at Sky Bar which is the bar they filmed at for The Hangover 2 haha! It was so close to our hotel so how could we not go? It was such a fancy place with an incredible view. You could see Bangkok for milesssss!

Okay I know my pictures don't do it justice but it really did look incredible! The day after I went to get a massage which was lush :) And then I was off to Sydney for the first time in my life!

Sydney was just wow. I can't even explain how much I loved that city. The weather was perfection and I just had the best time there. We landed in the morning so we had a little sleep first then me and two of the other girls headed out on the boat to Darling Harbour and have dinner. The views were amazing there and back. We watched the sunset over the Sydney Harbour bridge. I just can't believe I've seen it! I say this far too often but I really do love my job :)

I mean how beautiful does that look? I think Sydney is my favourite city after New York (because that's just my ultimate fave). I just had such a good first day and I could wait to get the Christchruch turnaround finished to get back... this time for a 48 hour layover!

The flight to and back from Christchurch was quick enough. We decided there was no time for sleep and just got changed and headed out. It was really nice because there was such a big group of us. We went to a cool little bar in the city and then later on we went to Opera Bar which was right next to the Opera House. The view again was beautiful. We were so lucky with the weather because Australia is heading into winter time now but it was such a warm balmy evening.

The next morning as I was getting ready to head out, I got a knock on my door. I had a letter from my company saying another cabin crew had called in sick from her Sydney flight so I was now to operate back to Dubai! I was so shocked because I didn't realise that could happen as I was meant to be going back to Bangkok the next day.

Luckily I still had that day in Sydney so we decided to go to the beach. I'm not a big sunbather since I don't technically need to work on my tan haha. But we went to Manly beach for a stroll and some late lunch :) It was really nice and a perfect end to the layover actually. Even though I was quite upset at the time to be leaving early, I realised afterwards that at least I got the experience and spent time with all my amazing crew :)

I can't wait to come back Sydney! See you soon!
