GREAT WALL OF CHINA

I just got back from Frankfurt (again) and finally have a minute to update the blog! I've been a bit busy, if you follow my Instagram you'll see why! :)

Anywaaaay... the spectacular view above and below was on the way to Beijing :) It's views like this that make me truly love and appreciate my job :) We were flying over the Himalayan mountains when this picture was taken. So so breathtaking. I couldn't stop staring. They looked so close as we were flying over, but only because they're so huge!

The plan for Beijing was obvious to go see the Great Wall of China. I'd never been to China so it was just a must to go see this Wonder of the World. And it really was just incredible!

A group of us set off early the next morning (it was about an hours drive), making sure we were bundled up nice and warm as it was freezing! It always surprises me that Asian countries get as cold as this! I guess I've been quite naïve about the weather haha!

Excellent job wrapping up nice and warm! Could barely move!

We got the ski lift up to the top of the wall... I was not expecting this and it was kind of scary because it didn't have anything below your feet! Just trees and rocks as we climbed higher! Getting off was even scarier because it didn't stop so you had to jump out! And me being the most uncoordinated person ever, obviously almost fell :( The view was pretty cool though...

See the snow on the steps!

Some parts of the wall were really steep... this is to capture the amount of STRUGGLE I went through getting up this thing! The step is nearly as big as my calf! However, it served as a good early morning workout!

Just having a little rest :)

We went down on the toboggan slide thing! It was so much fun! I would definitely recommend it, you can go so fast and it's really twisty all the way down. If you have a GoPro I imagine you'd get a good video haha.

I really loved being in China and next time I definitely want to go see the Forbidden City or Summer Palace!

I'm off to Hong Kong in a few hours so I better get packing! Not sure what my plan is for that but I'll see what the crew fancy :)

Have a happy Saturday!
