Winter in Hong Kong

I was so so excited when I saw I had a Hong Kong flight on my roster for December! I've always wanted to go to that part of the world, and eat real Chinese food of course!

The flight landed late that afternoon, so after a quick shower a few of the crew headed downstairs to explore the city. I definitely should have checked the weather before packing because I certainly wasn't prepared for the cold! I thought China was always a warm country so I had packed jeans and some light tops with a lace blazer... everyone else was in winter coats and boots... oops! Luckily one of the girls gave me a thicker shirt to borrow so I was somewhat warmer haha. At least I'll know for next time haha!

Wandering around the city as night fell :) It was so busy! But so cool. People were handing out cosmetics to try. I got these vitamin C undereye patches which were so cool and so refreshing! After a while of exploring different areas, we decided it was time for food...

The desserts table looked incredible and obviously I couldn't just pick one thing so I had about 10!... oops again. But it's Christmas so it's all okay...

We were all feeling very stuffed and sleepy by this time, so we decided to have a looong sleep and head out early tomorrow to The Peak! We took the little cable car ride up to the top and the view was so nice!

It was a bit windy at the top!

Once we got back down we saw a bride and groom taking pictures... obviously we had to get a selfie with them! They looked so happy :) I feel like winter time is wedding time in Hong Kong. Even in the hotel we saw two weddings taking place!

I really liked Hong Kong and I would love to come back. I think next time I'll make the trek to see the Tian Tan Buddha (Big Buddha), up in the mountains. I think warmer weather is required for this trip because I reckon it would be very cold at that altitude! Also, it would be nice to have clear skies for an amazing view of the city from that height. So... I'll definitely be back Hong Kong! :)
