Only 4 days to go and I got my fleet!

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since my last blog post, but I felt that it was just too close to my DOJ to not do another post! :)
I cannot believe I will be going in 4 days time (well actually it's like only 3 sleeps away, as I'm writing this before bed - catching up on Pretty Little Liars also :D ) I had an amazing leaving party over the weekend with all my closest friends there, and also an amaaazing cake! :)

How good does it look?! That hat is almost good enough to wear! I didn't try it on but it was very delicious :) I want to say thank you again to my wonderful brother and sister and bestest friend in the whole world for putting so much effort into it :)
The past few days have comprised of me running around getting a gazzilion photos and the last of my injections. The Hep B one was very painful :( Surprisingly the Yellow Fever hurt the least, and I didn't even get ill or anything from it. My photos were for the US visa and flying licence. I also needed passports ones but I had them done a while ago. I feel like a lot of my money has gone on photos... they better be good enough haha.
I also found out which fleet I'll be operating on today... drum roll please! I will be getting cross trained on the A380 and Boeing 777 aircrafts! I'm over the moon about this :) Not only is the A380 the biggest plane out there, but it also means I'll get to go to American destinations... which means New York, my favourite city in the world :) (Well it's my favourite city so far, but who knows, it could change now that I'll be seeing a lot more around the world!) I really wanted to be cross trained because I've heard you get a lot more layovers than main fleet. But main fleet get to spend more time in Dubai, and they also have destinations that cross trained staff don't. So I guess it's good either way :)
I think the next couple of days will be spent packing (I haven't even started yet oops), seeing my friends, organising my documents and maybe doing a little revision for training. I got sent a preflight course book a while ago. I have been reading it every now and then, and I've even learnt the phonetic alphabet in preparation :) I need to learn the airport codes too... kind of an important part of the job! I was supposed to have learnt them by now, but there was always something more fun to do haha. Oh well!
I keep saying this but I seriously can't believe how quickly the time has flown by (pun fully intended). It felt like as soon as I found out what my DOJ was, the time instantly sped up. I'm definitely feeling nervous about going because it's something completely new for me, but obviously I'm very excited to start my new life too :)
My next post is most likely going to be from my new bedroom in Dubai eeek! :) Goodbye for now...
