Hello everybody! :)

I'm so happy to finally say I got my Final Approval on the 6th July... so this means I am pretty much good to go. I decided I should go and get some medical stuff sorted out so I booked my appointment and I got two injections before going on holiday to Egypt :) I needed a Hep A and Hep B and they didn't hurt toooo much so it was all good. I still need a couple more though but the nurse said I should wait for my arms to calm down a little bit.

Now onto the good stuff :) Last week I went to Egypt! I've alwaaays wanted to go there because in school I loved learning about the Pharaoes - I find their culture so interesting and cool. I went with my family and it was really nice because I feel like it might be one of our last family holidays all together :(

We stayed in Sharm El Sheikh which is kinda like the holiday resort that most people go to. Our hotel was called the Domina Oasis Resort - and it was amaaazing. It was huge with so much stuff to do! In a nutshell...

Day 1: We met with our holiday rep, he was called Hani, and we planned out everything we wanted to do. After that we had lunch which was a huge buffet style array of dishes. Definitely went a little overboard. We then headed down to the beach. Can I just point out that the sun in Egypt is hotter than anything I have ever experienced. I've been to India and I thought that was bad but this was just something else. It was around 40 degrees celsius on most days, and went down to 36 in the evenings... sweat alert.

Day 2: This was the day my brother, sister and I went snorkelling in the Red Sea! I was kind of nervous about this day because it also involved the banana boat ride and I was really scared of falling in the sea. It turned out to be really fun and I wanted another go by the time we finished. We also went on a 'tube', which is basically the same as a banana boat but it's like a little sofa instead. This was so much fun because at the end the boat driver tipped us over... I ended up with a nose bleed from when I hit the water, oh well haha! We then got our life jackets, snorkels and flippers on and swam from the boat to a little white sand island in the middle of the sea. It was so surreal, it felt like the little island that Captain Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth get marooned on! After lunch we went to a different area to go see some fishies! This was amazing, we saw so many different types of fish and they came right up close to you as well. The divers went right down to bottom and pointed out different fish to us. We saw a stingray, romantic fish, trumpet fish and so many more! This was my favourite day :) I really want to go snorkelling again for sure.

Day 3: Cairo! We flew there from Sharm so we had the whole day to explore! We had a private tour guide which was really good because he had a lot of knowledge about loads of different things around Cairo. First of all we went cruising along the River Nile. This was so nice and relaxing, the breeze was ablowin and we were doing the whole selfie thing :D We then went to the Egyptian Museum and found out lots of interesting stuff. It was really hot inside. It's quite an old museum and we later found out that they're building a new one close to the Pyramids. After some lunch (pizza yum), we went to see the Pyramids of Giza and The Sphinx! I was very excited about this and they did not disappoint. They were absolutely massive, like so big you could barely look up at them because the sun was blazing down. It was a really hot day and we were in the middle of the desert so it felt like 100 times worse. But we still climbed up the Great Pyramid - because why not? :) We also got a little souvenir from a lovely art gallery. The art is all hand painted onto papyrus and the artist even wrote our whole family's names in hyroglyphics around the edge of a tree with beautiful birds. We need to find a nice golden frame to hang it up in the living room I think.

Day 4: We were all very tired after Cairo so it was lucky we had a relaxing morning. We went out in the glass bottom boat to have a look at more fish in the Red Sea :) It was really hot once again so it was nice to have a cool breeze blowing on board. After lunch we went quad biking in the Sinai desert! Followed by camel riding, dinner and entertainment, and star gazing :) This was all so much fun. Unfortunately we had a little scare because my brother managed to get lost in the middle of the desert - for real. Only he could manage that! Luckily the little search party found him but it was a scary hour. The camel ride was so fun, a little scary getting on and off because the camels get up and down so wonky. We had dinner in one of the villages in the desert and also local entertainment with firedancers/eaters! This was so cool, I'd never seen it before in real life and I couldn't get enough videos of it haha. We then did some star gazing. I saw the Moon and Saturn, and our guide showed us different constellations in the sky - all very interesting :) Apart from my brother getting lost, I think this was my second favourite day.

Day 5: Beach daaaay :) This was our first really relaxing day. The only thing we had planned for later was a trip to Soho in the evening. We lounged around and just ate and drank - good thing we were all inclusive! Soho was really nice in the evening. It's a very modern shopping area with lots of bars and restaurants. We just had a wander and took lots of pictures, watched the fountain show, and ate Movenpick Swiss ice cream (OMG so good!).

Day 6 and 7: These two days basically consisted of shopping and relaxing :) It was a nice end to the holiday because I felt like the first few days were so jam-packed with adventurous stuff, we needed more chill time! But the last couple of days were good for that. We explored the hotel more and went in lots of the little market shops, or 'bazaars' and got some good stuff to take home :) There was so much to buy I wish I had brought a bigger suitcase :( All in all it was one of the best holidays I've ever had. I would definitely go back to Sharm and hopefully next time get to explore Luxor and The Valley of the Kings! :)

Enjoy the pictures :)
